5 special needs kids to receive customized strollers for Christmas

LAKE WORTH — Christmas is truly about giving, not receiving.

Well, five families with special needs kids are about to learn all about that lesson when they receive customized mobility strollers from Wheels for Kids valued at more than $10,000.

The strollers will be presented to the families at a holiday dinner on Monday at Brogues Downunder on Lake Avenue. The strollers were made possible by a $7,500 grant from the Quantum Foundation, a private grant-making organization in West Palm Beach.

Wheels for Kids has been giving away strollers to special needs kids since 2003.
